The “Win a Payday Bonus” contest (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of Canada, who are the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry, excluding residents of Quebec and Ontario. Employees of The Cash Store Financial Services Inc. (the “Sponsor”), its advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and immediate household members of any of the above are not eligible to enter the Contest.
The Contest begins at 12:01 am MT on Tuesday, March 28th, 2014, and ends at 11:59 pm MT on Monday, June 30th, 2014 (the “Contest Period”).
How to Enter
There are three ways to enter the Contest during the Contest Period:
To enter the Contest with a scratch card received in the mail or via the newspaper, bring the card to any participating The Cash Store branch and follow the instructions on the card.
To enter the Contest at a branch without a scratch card, ask for a ‘contest scratch card’ (available while supplies last) and follow the instructions on the card.
To enter the Contest online, go to www.cashstore.ca
Limit: One (1) entry, either online or at a branch, during the Contest Period per person, per email address provided.
Grand Prize: There is one (1) Grand Prize, consisting of $5,000.00 in cash.
Instant Prizes: There are thirteen (13) Instant Prizes each consisting $500.00 in cash.
No substitution, transfer, or assignment of the any of the prizes is permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute as it deems necessary. All prizes will be delivered not less than thirty (30) days after the winner has complied with all of the requirements set out in these Contest Rules. Delivery will be at the branch where the winner entered the Contest or as otherwise agreed by the Sponsor and winner prior to delivery.
The odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by the end of the Contest Period. The odds of winning one of the thirteen (13) Instant Prizes depend on: (a) the number of scratch cards printed and circulated (443,400 scratch cards will be printed for circulation through newspapers, mail and at The Cash Store locations), (b) the number of online entries (33,000 site visits are expected during the Contest Period), (c) the number of instant prizes claimed during the Contest Period, and (d) the number of eligible entries received for the unclaimed instant prizes at the end of the Contest Period
Selection of Winners
Grand Prize: The Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period, which will be held on Friday, July 11th, 2014, (the “Draw Date”) at the Sponsor’s office in Edmonton, Alberta, during morning business hours.
Instant Prizes: The thirteen (13) Instant Prizes will be awarded as follows:
Nine (9) winning Instant Win Prize codes will be distributed on scratch cards circulated by mail or at branches;
Four (4) winning Instant Win Prize codes will be distributed through the online portion of the contest.
Any Instant Win prizes that have not been awarded as of the Draw Date will be awarded through a secondary random draw to be held immediately following the Grand Prize draw, from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor for lost, late, or misdirected entries or any computer, online, telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. |
